Started by Two Coffee Obsessives Who Believed Minneapolis Deserved Better
In 2021, founders Maya Chen and Elias Johansson left their corporate jobs with a shared conviction: the best coffee isn't fast — it's intentional. They spent a year traveling to farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala before opening the doors to Roast & Ritual in the North Loop.
Today, every cup we serve reflects that journey. We roast in small batches, source directly from farmers we know by name, and train our baristas to treat every drink like it matters — because it does.
